I just went through my list of 2025 goals. The top one was keep up with my good healthy habits, and you were a huge part of me being able to feel very accomplished on that goal! And…the way I worded it…you did it 2 years in a row! Thank you and I’m excited for you to help me continue to be healthy through 2026!

You adjust our workouts when we need it. You don’t get that a lot of places. You say ‘I’m in a lot of pain’ and they’ll tell you to just work through it. But that never made a lot of sense to me.


It’s funny. You think you need all these complex exercises, but it’s the smaller ones that don’t seem like much that make a difference. And then when they’re combined it’s helping you not trip or play pickle ball longer.

Working with Emily has been one of the best ways I have invested in my health and in myself. She helps me navigate through the overwhelming and sometimes confusing topics of health and wellness.

She is kind and empathetic, but also quick to call me out when I need it. Her knowledge level around the human body and how to navigate around injuries and program to work with my body is incredible.

I’m so impressed how she can know what is going on through a phone call only. I love her balance of letting me take the reins and getting through diet and lifestyle challenges, while also jumping in and guiding me when I need it.

My family and friends know her as “Emily,” not “my coach” or “my trainer” and I am always nudging them to give her a call and work with her. I am simply so grateful I found her (and Unity) and I get to work with her.

I struggled with staying consistent because workouts started to feel repetitive and boring. I was also nervous about lifting heavier weights on my own, didn’t always know how to adjust when injuries came up, and felt overwhelmed trying to figure out what program to follow.

As I get older, I’ve noticed more of my (less physically-active) friends complaining about aches and pains and not wanting to do “active” things as a result. I am grateful that this is generally not an issue for me largely because of my training at Unity.

I often joke with my family, “this is what I train for,” whether I’m carrying both of my kids or helping our parents with heavy yard work. Training has also allowed me to actively play with my kids and enjoy hikes with the people I love.

I’m proud of simply showing up and staying consistent especially during pregnancy/postpartum. Younger Emily used to think “perfection” was the only way. I was already on my journey to move away from that thought process but you definitely helped.

Unity isn’t solely focused on fitness but also mindset, you met me where I was at, gave guidance and tools to meet my goals. I’ve gained more confidence in myself and actions, I’ve been able to help others gain confidence to start and/or continue their fitness paths. I also enjoy listening to The UFFDA podcast. It’s filled with great information from self awareness, fitness, nutrition, tips and “cheats” to be successful!

Having a coach is super helpful to ensure proper programs and movements to maximize workouts. You are great at explaining why and really care about my success. I like having Emily in the background encouraging and pushing me, especially in the last reps of a max out day!
